When you invest in several places, the figures stop adding up.
Each broker sees only its own part. Statements start late, transfers lose the original cost and, when tax-return time comes, nobody knows where each number comes from.
Incomplete histories
Transfers between brokers, statements that do not go back to the start, and purchases nobody has records of any more.
Figures that do not match
Your position does not match the broker's. Some transactions are duplicated or prices are recorded wrongly.
Taxes in the dark
Without the acquisition cost there is no reliable gain, and the tax return arrives in a rush.

A sale without its original purchase inflates the apparent gain. In our fictitious example, selling 60 shares transferred between brokers appears to earn $4,259. With the documented cost, the gain is $1,859.

Rigour before appearance.
A nice-looking figure with no source is no use for deciding or for filing a tax return. CORDILIO would rather tell you “this document is missing” than invent a number.
No invented data
If a purchase is missing, it says so. It does not fill gaps with zeros or estimates, and the gain stays “not calculable” until the document turns up.
Every figure with its source
File, row and date of each movement. You can follow each movement back to the document that supports it.
Traceable history
Corrections are recorded with their reason and are reversible. Nothing disappears silently.
